Chrome Dome (Gen. Michael Hayden) told the Senate confirmation hearing that the controversial wiretapping program would have caught two 9/11 hijackers in San Diego, California, before they carried out their mission. Brothers and Sisters, if we would just suspend all of our freedoms, we would all be safe. And the current administration would be safe to do whatever it wants, unchecked. Sweet Jeebus, this is what I preach.
Then again, if the CIA and FBI had simply compared notes instead of playing turf wars maybe all the hijackers would have been caught before carrying out their ‘mission’. And maybe if we weren’t in Iraq we would have the resources and the leverage to reduce terrorism instead allowing it to breed.
