File this under "they had to make a rule about this?" California railway regulators passed a law banning the use of cellphones by train conductors. This after an engineer on a train involved in a deadly train accident last week was text messaging while at the helm of the train.
The catch? It's only a temporary ban. I guess so the conductors can get some practice texting and running the train at the same time before they do it in practice.
