Ohio Gov for VP?

Very interesting piece out of the Washington Post. Ohio Governor, Democrat Ted Strickland, is being mentioned as a possible vice presidential candidate for the 2008 election, even though he has not officially come out and endorsed a candidate. Granted this is the Post, but Chris Cilliza seems to be a bit more in touch with the political scene than most others there, so there might be some credence to it.

Makes you wonder if Rob Portman really left the Bush administration to "spend more time with his family". Who might the Dems put up if Strickland were to get the nod?
