If this is love, I don't want to see hate

As much as the republicans love to say how much they love the troops, refusing to boost their pay to get them in-line with private sector increases is a really funny way of showing it. Really, why would soldiers need an additional 0.5% pay increase? Or why would the families of soldiers killed in action deserve an additional $40 per month?

The Bush administration says that they feel that the increases are unnecessary. I wonder how many of our troops would agree with this.
