WWAD (What Will Alito Do?)

The Supreme Court has accepted a second Bush administration appeal of a federal appeals court ruling on partial-birth abortions.

In 2000, the Supreme Court overturned a Nebraska ban on partial-birth abortions, with Justice Sandra Day O'Connor casting the deciding vote. However, now that Alito has replaced O'Connor, there is speculation that he may uphold the Nebraska ban and, consequently, uphold the federal ban on a 504 vote.

Despite the infamous job application in which he claimed that abortion was not a constitutional right, Alito has said that he would not allow his "personal feelings" to interfere with his judicial decisions on abortion. This fall, we'll see if Alito walks it like he talks it.
