We're saying promiscuity is OK as a state, and I am not in support of that", said Rep. Susan Phillips (R-Kansas City) after the Missouri House voted 96-59 to eliminate funding for birth control and infertility treatments at county health clinics.
My argument? If you deny women birth control because it will lead to promiscuity, then men in Missouri should be denied access to Viagra and any other "male enhancement" prescriptions for the same reason. What's good for the goose is also good for the gander.
