During the summer of 2010, we're going to try something new. On the second Tuesday of each month from June through October, we'll picnic from 7 to 9 in one of our beautiful Cincinnati and Hamilton County Parks. This is intended to be a recession-friendly and family-friendly event. We'll supply a hot barbeque grill, you bring your own burgers, hot dogs, buns, etc. If you can't bring your own hot dogs, we may have some for sale at cost.
This Tuesday's event will be held at Owl's Nest Park in O'Bryonville from 7PM to 9PM. Owl's Nest is a compact jewel of the Cincinnati park system hidden in plain sight. It's an old Cincinnati family homestead with plenty of old trees, a ballfield, picnic area and shelter. It's also down the street from another great park, Annwood, which has a grotto that you'd never know is hidden in the middle of Cincinnati.
In case of rain, we'll move to O'Bryon's Pub down the block.
