"Bush said the sentence was 'excessive' and the cheney ex-aide who was convicted of lying in the CIA-leak case still would have to serve two years of probation and pay a $250,000 fine"

I'll refresh everyone with a civics lesson, a CIA leak is Treason, and according to that thing Bush has been using as toilet paper, the Constitution of the United States of America, the only punishment for Treason is death. I guess Republican Treason doesn't require the same "excessive" punishment the rest of us might receive.
