How much for that science in the window?

I had to look into this further after hearing about it on Countdown with Keith Olbermann, but unfortunately it's true.

The National Science Teacher's Association rejected a donation of 500,000 DVDs of An Inconvenient Truth that would be sent to teachers across the country to show in their classrooms. Why, you ask? Because it might drive off bigwig donors...like Exxon. Who might have a tad bit of interest in denying the existence of global warming.

You'd think that an association of science teachers would be above a bribe (and let's not mince words, that's what this amounts to), but apparently not so. David Neiwert makes some excellent arguments of where this could lead.
