We're still lagging behind the world in health care

According to the not-for-profit Commonwealth Fund, the U.S. is still practically in the dark ages medically when you compare them to other industrialized countries. In a nutshell, we have too many uninsured citizens, our system encourages providing services rather than preventative medicine, and the methods of sharing data between providers is far from where it should be.
It's worth a read, if for no other reason than it shows how ridiculously screwed up our current system is, especially as it relates to our inability to provide universal health care to every citizen.
