Re-leaf New Orleans

I heard on Le Show yesterday that FEMA has finally agreed to remove all the dead trees, standing and fallen, in New Orleans. Harry Shearer gave some more details in his Huffington Post Blog.

I remember when I was a kid, my Jewish friends would talk about donating to "plant a tree in Israel." I thought it was a lovely sentiment.

I know it sounds weird to talk about planting trees when so many people are still hurting, but I like trees. I even married a horticulturalist.

An organization called Parkway Partners is "Re-Leafing" New Orleans. Let's help. How do you think we should? Individual donations, a donation as a group, or individual donations in the name of DL Cinci?
