I've had a lot of thoughts swimming in my head during my absence, and I'm going to start laying them out again over the next few weeks.

Ampersand over at Alas, A Blog makes what I think is the most consistent and thorough debunking of the belief that the anti-choice side considers abortion to be the murdering of a child, and goes down the path that it's all about punishing women for having sex. I''ll say right off that I don't agree with everything in the piece, but there's enough there to really challenge the pablem from the right.

I'd also recommend checking out the links at the bottom of the post from Molly Saves the Day (I didn't know it needed saving, but I appreciate her efforts). Extremely thought provoking stuff.
