Teaching Filth in Georgia Schools

I was outraged to hear on NPR this morning that Georgia lawmakers are likely to pass a bill allowing high schools to teach a very controversial book.

Have they read this book?!? It's filled with scenes of pornography, incest, beastiality and graphic violence! How can they presume that this is appropriate reading material for impressionable young minds!

Georgia has a history of protecting their youth from harmful materials like this. Why are they making an exception in this case?
