Legislation That Makes Sense

This week, State Senator Robert Hagan introduced legislation that would prohibit Republican families from adopting a child. This is in response to legislation introduced by Representative Ron Hood prohibiting gay couples from adopting.

From the Akron Beacon Journal:

To further lampoon Hood's bill, Hagan wrote in his mock proposal that ``credible research'' shows that adopted children raised in Republican households are more at risk for developing ``emotional problems, social stigmas, inflated egos, and alarming lack of tolerance for others they deem different than themselves and an air of overconfidence to mask their insecurities.''

Full story here.

Seems sensible enough to me. I work with dysfunctional Republicans and I think it's a great idea to keep children from being exposed to their lifestyle.
