Premature Invocation

Big doings across the western state line, as a fight's a brewin' over pre-legislative session prayer and their content.

I've never understood the reasoning behind saying a prayer in public before work, other than because they've always done it. Religion ought to be a private matter, and if people feel the need to gather and pray they should do it on their own time. But since that ship has sailed, the only hope is to keep the prayers non-sectarian.
